RADIODDITY GM-30 Programing/Baofeng GM-30

Post by OSCAR-03 »

Use the Radioddity GM-30 Software for the Baofeng GM-30 PRO.
However, DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!

MANUALS & SOFTWARE

Follow the link below and you will find user manuals, device drivers and software for a wide range of Radioddity products, including the GM-30 (about half way down the page under GMRS and MURS).

The program is pretty straight forward if you have basic computer skills. You will need the programing cable (I use the same one for my Baofeng radios).

Procedure
  • Start by downloading the software, open the program, connect your cable to radio and PC, turn on radio.
  • Then from the menu bar; >> Program >> Read from radio.
  • Next, from the menu bar; >>File >> Save (give file a name and location to save to) >> Save.
  • Next; open this new file and you will see what was pre programed into your radio. Modify and make changes to add or remove the RX Freq, TX Freq, Name, PL offset, power level and scanning as needed.
  • Then; from the Program menu; >> Write to radio. Presto!
For anyone needing additional help with programing check the calendar for special events where programing will be scheduled or send me a private message or email and I will help in what ever way I can.
